Skull vaulted, with a pair of tusk-like maxillary teeth, growing from persistent pulps ; a more or less narrow parietal bar ; orbits of variable direction ; and the palate carrying one ridge on the vomer, and a pair of ridges on the premaxillae. General contour of cranium of a normal type, the parieto-frontal plane being continued by a more or less marked curve into that of the naso- premaxillary region; supratemporal fossae more or less elongated; preorbital region comparatively short, with the nares near the 1 Quart.
