Pangborn as assistant inarranging exhibits of an historical characterwhich have been made from time to timeby the Baltimore and Ohio. He one of the demonstrators ateach of the historical exhibits, meetingmany persons of note in the course ofseveral years in this part of the service. He was also connected as an instructorwith Mr. Pangborn in the apprentice school,the Help Him Who Hel[js Himself, for V. M^ss E. C. Heidenrich, secretary to chief Auditor Coal and Coke Receipts young men in the service, giving instruc-tions gratis in several branches. Mr. Bangs, with his natural dispositionand qualifications for this special work,has gathered a large amount of historicaldata, not only regarding motive power andother mechanical apijliances of the Com-pany, but also concerning other RailroadCompanies. He is an authority on historical railroadmatters. He has an extensive collectionof rare coins and stamps, and one of thebest collections of Lincoln Mementoes. From May i, 1917, he has been clerkin our Transportation Bureau, but is alsacalled ujKjn for stories at various times onhistorical matters. He still has charge ofthe St. Louis Wodd Fair Exhibits whichare stored at Martinsburg, reporting forthis work to J. S. Murray, assistant topresident. It might be noted that one of theseexhibits is the famous Baltimore and Ohiolocomotive Atlanti
