THE MISSOURI DRILL Double rotary force-feed grain and fertilizer drill with self-shifting crank attachment. Broad-faced, high, wrought iron wheels, no wood spokes or felloes, no tire coming loose. This drill has been thoroughly tested in sowing all kinds of grain, grass seed, phosphate, bone dust, guano, salt, ashes, plaster, ground lime, marl and such combinations as farmers make from barn and hen house products. The force feed fertilizer at- tachment distributes all kinds of ashes, plaster phosphate, etc., without clogging. The quantity sown is regulated by cog wheels, same as grain sower. No more power is re- quired to propel the fertilizer than the seeder, consequently the draft of a new combined drill is but a trifle more than a plain drill. By means of a lever the gearing may be thrown in or out while at work, so that fertilizers may be sown on poor and shut off on fertile lands in the same field. We have also a force feed grass seeder working on the same principle as the fertilizer. Therefore our combined drill is furn- ished with three positive force feeds, none of which are used by any other drill made. The company is putting on the market this season a new disk drill, and equipping all of their drills with wire tubing in place of the old style rubber hose. 9 Hoe Drills, Pin $—with Spring Hoe $ 10 " " — " " 11 " ' " — " " " Please note that these images are extracted from scanned page images that may have been digitally enhanced for readability - coloration and appearance of these illustrations may not perfectly resemble the original Young & Halstead; Henry G.
