Shades of the Windjammer Days!. Down in the Southwest Pacific, parrots vie with dogs as mascots for Uncle Sam's seafaring fighters. Here, Coast Guardsman John Bollweg, a picturesque character with his beard and ear rings gives his hitch-hiking pal, "Jockey" a lift as he goes about his deck duties. Bollweg and "Jockey" serve aboard a Coast Guard-manned fighting ship against the Japs in the south seas. He is the son of Mrs. Anna Bollweg of Wheaton, Illinois, and the Husband of Mrs. Maude Bollweg of Orange, Texas.
