Today it is the autumn equinox, the day and night are of equal length and it is all downhill from here into cold days and colder darker nights. I can't wait! Autumn is my favourite season. The weather suits me, the colours become more interesting within the landscape and the light takes on a different quality. This view of Hornby Castle in Lancashire is one that I first photographed earlier in the year, and have wanted to revisit in autumn. The colours are still too vibrant, whether I will get back in the "right" conditions this year or not I don't know as but it is on "the list"!
