Gentlemen:—We have before us your inquiry regarding the continued operation of our SImuiids Vacuum System anfl we are very glad to report as follows: One block of glass containing about three acres was fitted out with this system iu the summer of 1906, and another block of about two acres in the summer of 1909. We are at this writing just drawing a long breath after six weeks of intense cold and stoimy weather. Neither plant has given us one moment's trouble and we are well pleased with geeieral results. We are able with this system to develop additional heat in any portion of the plant and find radiation equally effective under the glass farthest removed from the boileis. We think we made no mistake in st'lpcting thi* method of heating and would put in the same if we had it to do again. Wishing you success, we remain, Truly yours, DUNBAR & HOPKINS.
