A "Griffplattenschwert" (grip-plate sword) with scabbard remnants, European Bronze Age, 2nd millenium Bronze. Integral trapezoidal grip-plate with six rivets. The blade with a broad flattened midrid and stepped edges. The wire winding of the no longer existent leather scabbard is completely preserved. Length cm. Weight 438 g. In find condition with the metal well preserved. Brown river find patina with green corrosion in places. Mounted on acrylic glass.
