Tequila bottles for sale at the Chili Fiesta at West Dean in West Sussex

Almost 250 years ago, Hacienda Corralejo was founded and became the first estate in Mexico to produce commerical tequila. Since this historic date in 1755, the distillation methods of Tequila Corralejo have been preserved, refined and developed into a skilled craft only attainable by master artisans of tequila making. It is no wonder that the velvet taste of Corralejo won both the Grand Award in Mexico City's "World's Best Tequila Competition" and the "American Tasting Award of Excellence" by the National Board of the American Tasting Institute. Fruit-filled, with hints of pepper, exceptionally smooth and clean this popular tequila has been awarded three Gold Medals in international competitions in the past five years. Under Mexican law, Reposado ("reposed") tequila has to age in wood barrels for a minimum of two months.
