Brown, teacher of elocution, was tendered a hand-some benefit at Masonic Temple by the members of her class. Theentertainment consisted of music, recitations and tableaux, and waswitnessed by an audience that not only filled the house from parquetteto the gallery, but was as enthusiastic as it was large in numbers. Thevarious parts of the programme were rendered in a manner somewhatsurprising to those who have taken little note of the progress of the. MRS. N. F. MOSSELL. Brown, our distinguished guest and emi-nent teacher in elocution, and hereby thank her for the rich and raretreat furnished by thepupilsof her training.—Courier-Journal, Louis-ville, Ky. Prof W. F.
