Harris, who has helped to organize the event since she deployed to Kabul in April 2011, was able to introduce her daughter, Army Spc. Heaven Faison, to the Afghan women and children at the bazaar when Faison visited ISAF Headquarters that day. In the middle of her deployment, Harris, a Pittsburgh, native who serves with Task Force Shafafiyat, learned her daughter was deploying to Bagram Air Field as a human resource specialist with Task Force Talon, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade. Through the help of her unit, Faison was able to travel to Kabul to visit her mother during the bazaar and meet the Afghan women and children she has worked with for more than a year.
