Alfred Salter (16 June 1873 – 24 August 1945) was a British medical practitioner and Labour Party politician who married Ada Brown in 1900 and the couple then worked together in trying to alleviate the effects of poverty in the largely working class area of Bermondsey, London. In doing so their only daughter Ada Joyce Salter died aged 8 after a scarlet fever epidemic swept through the slums.
