The London Lightning defeated the Saint John Mill Rats in the first round of the NBL playoffs.

London Ontario, Canada - March 9, 2012. Fan favourite and three time play of the week during the regular season, Gabe Freeman plays up to close to 4000 fans after the Ligthning won the first round of the playoffs defeating the Saint John Mill Rats 87-82 in front of a record crowd of 3919 at the John Labatt Centre. The Lightning will now play either the Halifax Rainmen or the Quebec Kebs in the next round that will be a best of five series.
