Although a foreign sort, it has done admirably for four seasons, being a vigorous grower and an immense yielder. and showing no siffns of mildew. The above illustration shows the size of the fruit. We confidently recommend it for the garden and market, being unequalled for size, flavor, productiveness and vigorous growth. Large; pale green; productive bearer; good for family use or for market. BLACKBERRIES. Plant in good soil, in rows 5 or G feet apart, and 3 or 4 feet apart in the row. After the fruiting season, or in early spring, cut out all the dead wood. Blackberries should be ))lanted early, before the buds start. A good top dressing of stable manure, applied annually, will be conducive to large crops. Keep the ground clean. Erie. This is a new berry of great promise, on account of ripening its entire crop at once and early. Berries medium or lai'ge size, black when ripe, firm, sweet, and of good quality. $ per doz.; $ jier 100. Early Harvest.
