This variety, recently introduced, is destined tobecome one of the most popular in cultivation, andcan be readily grown in every family no banking up for blanching, as thecentral stalks, heart and leaves are naturallywhite; it is, therefore, ready for use as soon as ithas attained sufficient size. The white stalks donot appear until the plant has made a goodgrowth. This variety is also of great value as atable ornament, it having been given the abovename from the beautiful feathery appearance ofits leaves. It has a rich nutty flavor, is crispand tender, and all together we recommend it asan excellent variety, well worthy a trial by allof our customers.
