Austria was the onlynation that supported Germany in the Alge-ciras Conference. During the summer season Algeciras isa popular watering place. The principalhotel is the Reina Cristina near the southend of the pier. Rates as recently quotedare 10 and 15 pesetas per day, Europeanplan; dinner, 8 pesetas; luncheon, 5 pesetas Twenty- Two.
