This is the sole end and object of their teaching, and ifthey achieve this aim, their most sanguine expectations will be storv of Catholicitv in the Heart of the Commonwealth is one. To-day the Catholicsof Worcester comprise more than one-third of the population, andrejoice to see temples of their faith rising in all sections of this fair years have seen Worcester grow from a small town to a city ofmagnificent proportions. Generous hearts and willing hands wereneedful to bring about this transformation, and in this eventful year,the leaf that the Catholics will entwine in Worcesters wreath of laurelwill be one of assurance that the same hearts and hands are still andever shall be at her command to help carry on the great work of prog-ress which 98 commemorates.
