In the summerof 1890 he was appointed superintendentof schools of said county and re-electedin the fall. In 1893 he returned to hisold home, where he was married toMagdalena Iverson. The next year hepurchased the Delavan Herald, of whichhe was editor and publisher for aboutfour years. He was also postmaster atDelavan until he resigned in the springof 1898.
