It is a European style resort, built in 1916, in memory of the Union Army, who won the Civil War. It is inspired by La Concorde in Paris, drawing two semicircles, one on each side of the street 59. In the south we find the statue in honor of journalist Albert Pulitzer. While in the north is the golden equestrian statue of General William Tecumseh Sherman. This square is the main entrance to Central Park and the place where we can rent a horse cart to ride around the park.
