Chateau de Monsieur de la Palice, Lapalisse, France

Built between the 11th and 13th centuries the château was acquired by Jacques 1 de Chabannes in 1430. His grandson, Jacques 2nd, Marechal of France built the Renaissance wing at the beginning of the 16th century from rose coloured bricks. Today, the fully furnished living rooms contain many historical artefact's. The Château is listed as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.
