The first emergency generator in USACE’s Emergency Power Mission in Georgia was installed last night and is supporting critical wastewater infrastructure in Albany with emergency temporary power while the larger commercial grid continues to be restored. Shown: Emergency Power Planning and Response Team personnel from the Savannah District oversee the installation. The Emergency Power Mission is being managed by the Army Corps of Engineers there in support of FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the larger federal response to Hurricane Michael.
