The State Florists' Society is disappointed in not being able to g-et more and better space at the fair and larger premi- ums than last year, and it was thought for a while that they would not go at all, as the premiums offered will hard- ly pay expenses to the exhibitor; but rather than have our state fair with- out floral exhibits, and trusting that they will see fit to make it more of an object next year, most of those ex- hibiting last year have promised their support again this year. N. Kentucky state Fair. The Kentucky state fair manage- ment has expended $250,000 in fitting up one of the most elaborate fair grounds in the country, and the fair will be held September 13-18 at Louis- ville.
