An optical illusion or visual illusion is an attempt to trick the sense of seeing. This can be illusions of depths, color, geometry, movement and so on. Those illusions are trying to stimulate our visual perception mechanisms in an unconventional way. Here in our OXOLUX-ring we combined several elements with each other. The circles placed on top of each other create an infinite raise or descent. The color gradient inside the circles may remind our brain to 3-dimensional forms. The color gradient in the background opens an abstract space to our imagination.
