Earlier it seemed the drought might prove bad, but rains came just in time to save the fruit. Picking in general, began July TwMw, 15 and some will be harvest- ing until August 15. What the final total of quarts will be has not been estimated. At Massachusetts Cranberry Ex- periment Station the planting was opened to the public, as it has been for several years.
