Marine Corps Maj. Sean Barrett, executive officer, 1st Radio Battalion Marine Information Group, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, the second-place male active duty Marine finisher for the 47th Marine Corps Marathon, is awarded a commemorative plaque at the 47th MCM awards ceremony, Arlington, Virginia, Oct. 30,2022. The race drew roughly 20,000 participants, more than 2,200 Marines and Sailors, and 1,500 civilian volunteers. Known as "The People's Marathon," there is no prize money for top finishers; all runners were celebrated for their honor, courage, and commitment.
