Thewalls of the vast exhibit hall were hung with paintings of California scenesby California artists, and such canvasses as Santa Clara Valley in BlossomTime were a revelation to the eastern visitor. Around the great display space ran a broad balcony, from which openedrest rooms, or more display rooms, kept open by the various countiesor county groups for their people and their friends, like little Statebuildings.
