Garganta del Diablo Viewed from Downstream--Iguazu Falls
Garganta del Diablo, "The Devil's Throat," is one of the crown jewels in the 26-kilometer system of cataracts comprising the Iguazu Falls complex on the border between Brazil and Argentina. The main cataracts are Salto Floriano and Salto Santa Maria on the Brazilian side (left) and Salto Union (center), which straddles the border. Visitors shooting pictures from the platform on the Brazilian side of the Iguazu River show the scale of "La Garganta."
