Pratts juris-diction, and while serving in this fieldof labor he contracted a case of influ-enza from which he died Nov. 3, 1918,in Rameo, Colorado. The father ofElder Gibbons went to Colorado andbrought the body of his son home toTempe, Arizona, where it was buried. 744 LATTER-DAY SAINT GODDARD, Benjamin, president ofthe Temple Square Mission and man-ager of the Bureau of Information inSalt Lake City, Utah, from 1902 to. 1929, was born July 27, 1851, in Hud-dersfield, Yorkshire, England, and diedin Salt Lake City Dec. 5, 1930. (Seepage 239.) GRUNDER, Albert, an Elder whodied in the missionary field, was bornOct. 28, 1894, in Logan, Cache Co.,Utah, a son of Fred Grunder and Ver-na Pauli Grunder. He was baptizedDec. 16, 1902, by W. A. Simmons, andlater ordained an Elder. While stillresiding at Logan he was called ona mission to the Southern States, beingset apart Jan. 11, 1921. He had beenin the mission field only six weekswhen he died very suddenly of an ill-ness which lasted only four days. Thedoctors pronounced his disease as in-flammation of the brain from whichhe died March 3, 1921, in a hospitalin Columbus, Ohio. He was twenty-six years old, and left a wife tomourn his loss.
