ELBOW, DRAWING

Supination of the elbow articulation. Supination is the movement of the forearm outward (palm of the hand upward). The bone of the arm, the humerus, articulates at the level of the elbow with two bones of the forearm, the radius and the cubitus (or ulna). The distal extremity of the humerus encompassed a round protuberance, the capitulum (in blue), that articulates with the radial head (in blue). The other region of the humerus extremity is the trochlea (in blue) that articulates with the cubitus. During supination, the radius turns on itself around the cubitus. See. images 8514406 and 8515306 for the movements of flexion and pronation.
