A German hand and a half sword,circa 1520 Broad,double-edged blade inlaid with brass,crowned pi mark and several grooves on the ricasso. Iron quillons(old repair on one side). Finials sparsely cut. The leather-covered grip is thicker in the centre and wrapped with cord. Smooth pear-shaped pommel. Length 110 cm. Typical Landsknecht sword for field use.
