Black-fronted Dotterel (Elseyornis melanops) at Ormiston Gorge, Northern Territory, Australia


The Black-fronted Dotterel is widespread in many parts of Australia, where it usually inhabits the muddy margins of a variety of shallow terrestrial freshwater wetlands, walking over the soft mud, all the while pecking at its surface to take small invertebrate prey.
