Berlin,Kreuzberg,Gorlitzer Park view with terraced amphithetre-like seating. This was the site of the Pamukkale fountain created by the sculptor Wigand Witting & built 1994 -1998. The work was reminiscent of the travertine terraces of Pamukkale in Turkey but problems with the construction methods & material resulted in severe damage in its first winter. The fountain & surviving sculptures were removed in 2009 and the remaining concrete terraces were laid out with artificial turf and now are used for seating.
