Quitting the museum and crossing the small river Parma bythe Ponte Verde, the stranger soon reaches the (formerly) DucalGarden, at the N. extremity of which is situated the *Palazzodel Giardino (PI. 19), erected by Ottavio Farnese, and adornedwith numerous frescoes. One of the apartments contains theRape of Europa, the Triumph of Venus, the Marriage of Peleusand Thetis etc., by Agostino Caracci.
