A Persian kard with a nielloed silver scabbard, circa 1800 Wootz-Damascus blade with a cut back, and a faceted, constricted ferrule. Both sides of the base of the blade and grip frame bear floral and ornamental gold inlay. Walrus ivory grip scales, one side an (old) addition. Caucasian silver scabbard, the obverse with embossed and niello decoration, the reverse side bears the maker's inscription and the date "1334 (= 1916).
