A Roman bronze appliqué with Triton figures, 2nd - 3rd century Two Triton figures, their lower bodies in the shape of fishes' tails intertwined, their inner hands meeting in the centre and holding up a draped bust (in front of a shell?), their outer hands each grasping the lower body of the other Triton just above the tail fin. The upper bodies in human form, with horses' legs extending from the transition of their scaled fishtails.
