The 13th century Zytglogge Clock Tower is one of Bern's most recognisable building with its 15th-century astronomical clock, a major tourist attraction. It is located in the Altstadt (Old Town) of Bern in Switzerland. During its existence, the clock tower has served the city as guard tower, prison, and now, clock tower. It serves as a civic memorial and the old town is an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
