The Kemigawa Transmitter was built in 1926 was first place to transmit Japan's international broadcasting but was completely abandoned in 1979 although the building had been in ruins for awhile prior to its total abandonment. It is a favorite spot for haikyo enthusiasts because of its fairly easy access, although the building itself is shuttered up. The grounds are popular not only with fans of abandoned buildings but also paintball enthusiasts. The Kemigawa Transmitter also has the added perk that it is said to be haunted by soldiers' ghosts.
