Wisborough Green, June 10th 2022: A cigar smoked by Sir Winston Churchill on a flight to Nice in 1963 will go on sale at Bellman's Auctioneers in West Sussex on July 14th. The cigar stub was retrieved from the plane by flight stewardess Iris White. Included in the sale are Ms White's diary recording the event and her last payslip from BEA in 1968, for the amount of £203 and 15 shillings. The Cuban cigar was well-known as one of his favourites, A Romeo Y Julieta made by Rodriguez Arguelles and Co of Havana, a brand that is still available to this day.
