TOMBEAU DES HORACES ET DES CURIACES A ALBANO. -HiN sortant de la ville dAlbano, sur le chemin qui conduit à laRiccia, il y a un tombeau entièrement ruiné, sur une base qnarrée, aveccinq pyramides rondes, dont deux sont assez bien conservées, et lesautres tombent en ruine. On lappelle vulgairement le tombeau desfrères Horaces et des frères Curiaces, dont le combat décida du sortdAlbe et de Rome, et donna à cette dernière ville la supériorité sur sarivale. Plusieurs auteurs néanmoins pensent que cest le sépulcre dugrand Pompée. La singularité de sa construction à côté de la voieAppienne, pavé de pierres pentagones, et sa situation pittoresque sontbien propres à arrêter les regards du voyageur curieux. f^ N H >. ^ %
