Italy, Sicily, Segesta, ancient Greek Doric temple

The Doric temple was built by the Elymian people in the 5th century BC, and is one of the best preserved examples of a Greek temple. The temple was never completed, as the roof was never added and the columns never fluted. It has a peripteral plan, with 6 x 14 columns on a base three steps high.
