Along the rim of the chalice a band of blown gold leaf. On the chalice are engraved the coat of arms of Stadholder Prince Maurice, the coat of arms of the city of Bergen op Zoom and a truncated tree, from which left a branch sprouts with five orange apples and on the right a young shoot with three orange apples. To the left of the tree is the motto of Prince Maurice 'JE MAINTIENDRAY NASSAU' and to the right his motto 'TANDEM FIT SURC
