Coast Guard Combat Photog in Lingayen Area. Coast Guardsman Max A. Loftin, of 2012 24th Avenue, N., Nashville, Tenn., kept right on going after "shooting" the Luzon beachhead and joined General MacArthur's troops in their sweep across the Philippine Island. Loftin finally reached Rosario, Lingayen Gulf, and paused long enough to have himself photographed sitting atop a captured Jap 12-inch gun.
