Cave pseudoscorpion pincer. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of the pincer of a pseudoscorpion (order Pseudoscorpionida) found only in the Movile Cave, Romania, where life has been cut off from the outside world for the last million years. It has evolved in total darkness over that time and has lost its eyes as a result. This arachnid grows to a maximum length of 8 millimetres.
