The sleepingplace should be cleaned every day, and air-slacked limeand carbolic acid and water used to disinfect it. Cornshould not be fed, but oil meal, oats and middlingsshould take its place. THE HOG. 115 Hogs should have access to a mixture of ashes andsalt, which seems to be beneficial in preserving theirhealth.
