Friday 3rd of February 2017: Queensferry Crossing. The final part of the bridge is lifted into place completing the span of the Queensferry Crossing. Transport Scotland is working with the Forth Crossing Bridge Constructors (FCBC) consortium on this project. The Forth Replacement Crossing (FRC) project is providing up to 1,200 job opportunities and a large number of sub contract and supply order opportunities for Scottish companies. 42,000 tonnes of steel will be used in this project to build the longest three tower cable-stayed bridge in the world.
