Very uncommon. (Fig. 206.) The connection of the aecidium with the Puccinia was first demon- strated by Plowright, and has since been confirmed by Dietel and by Klebahn. All the teleutospores I have seen were full of a very coarsely granular protoplasm. It must not be forgotten that an eecidium on Ranunculus acris belongs also to Uromyces Dactylidis.
