As an illustration ofthe value of this plan take a store withten clerks with an average payroll ofbetwen $7,000 and $8,000 a year. It isevident that such an expenditure ofmoney is worth checking to say nothingof the desirability of raising the stand-ard of discipline in any well managedorganization. Discipline is created by commandingrespect and the old adage says you canonly command respect when you treateach one exactly alike, and this is theprinciple involved in the up to date time-recording apparatus.
