The Krakow Ghetto Memorial in Plac Bohaterów Getta (Ghetto Heroes' Square) Podgorze was inaugurated in December 2005.
It was built to commemorate the murdered Holocaust Jews of Krakow. The square is full of chairs which symbolically represent all the old furniture being thrown out when the ghetto was established.
