Mouse chromatin protein. Molecular model of the structure of chromatin proteins found in mice. This is similar, but not identical, to the same proteins found in humans. In both animals, several proteins help to package DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) by combining with it to form progressively denser forms of chromatin, eventally forming the structure known as a chromosome.
