08/02/16 Chefs at Center Parcs pile-high a flipping incredible 213 pancakes to batter the current GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the ‘Tallest stack of Pancakes’. Chefs used 14 bags of flour, 700 eggs and 26 pints of milk to construct the giant cm tall tower at The Pancake House, Center Parcs Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire. Group Executive Chef, James Haywood, said: “The trick was to find a way to construct the stack without it falling over. It wasn’t just a matter of piling them up and hoping for the best – we’ve looked at it from a scientific, mathematic and engineering point of view, as well as developing a recipe for the perfect piling pancake.” The previous record was set in the Netherlands two years ago and measured “The Pancake House is not just a nod to our Dutch heritage – it’s something that’s become synonymous with a Center Parcs break,” adds James. “Since we opened our doors in 1987, we’ve served enough pancakes to reach the top of Mount Everest, so it seems right that we now hold this GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title!” All Rights Reserved: F Stop Press Ltd. +44(0)1335 418365 +44 (0)7765 242650
