Nielson, who bought John Stevens' range, was in the city last week and left for Pana, 111., Thursday, September 16. The Kansas City Wholesale Cut Piower Co. has been receiving some fine roses. Henry Kusik & Co. have been doing exceptionally well in supplies this month. They have been getting some fine roses and carnations. M. E. Carter, manager of the Wil- liam L. Rock Flower Co., is home from his fishing trip in the Ozarks. M. Domoto, of Domoto Bros., San Francisco, was in the city last week on his way home from the east. A. E. Kutschbach, of Houston, Tex.; R. L. Howard, of the Foster Floral Co., Oklahoma City, Okla., and P. A. Man son, of the Pinehurst Floral Co., Pleas- ant Hill, Mo., were visitors last week. The Chandler Landscape & Floral Co. has received a shipment of several thousand cyclamen and begonia plants for holiday selling. Last week was a busy one at Arthur Newell's shop. There were three large wedding and several funeral orders. For one of the funerals there was a casket pall, 5x7 feet, of Ophelia roses, lavender asters and Farleyense ferns, showered with Ophelia and lavender ribbon. Three thousand flowers and ferns were used for the piece, which sold for $500. An expense account of $50 was also allowed to send a man to Oklahoma. The pall was for the wife of an oil man who has been a customer of Mr. Newell for several years. Miss Hayden was called back from her
